Blurb: Atsushi's worldview stems from a childhood of abandonment and abuse, and his basic take on life is that it's full of disappointment and suffering, but he's here, so he's going to deal with it. He considers himself generally useless with absolutely no redeeming qualities and he wants to make up for this perceived utter worthlessness by saving and helping people, thinking that might make it acceptable for him to exist. When he's not wallowing in a quagmire of self-loathing, he's oddly outgoing and amiable, though naive, nervous, and clueless at times from a lack of both socialization and education. His complete disregard for his own welfare leads to him being self-sacrificing without thought, which might be considered some sort of heroism if his motivations weren't coming from deep well of negative emotions.
